Picked this up for a road trip and the solid base kept everything in place even on bumpy rides. The wooden pieces click nicely into the frame, making it feel more substantial than the plastic versions.

The wooden base is surprisingly sturdy and doesn't slide around during play, which makes a big difference. We've already taken it on a couple of car trips and the pieces stay put in the solid frame.

My kids and I have been playing this on our camping trips, and the solid base keeps the pieces perfectly in place on the uneven picnic table. It's a nice change from screen time, and the wooden feel is satisfying.
