Assembling the rotor blades was trickier than I expected, but the instructions were clear enough for my 10-year-old to figure out. It’s been fun timing the spins during our windy afternoons to see how fast the cups turn.

My classroom was so engaged building this anemometer together—the plastic parts clicked together easily and the resulting device really does spin in a light breeze. It’s a great hands-on way to introduce wind measurement.

My son was thrilled when the anemometer actually spun in the wind after he assembled it himself. The instructions were clear enough for an 8-year-old to follow, and he’s been taking measurements every day since.
