Plasma Ball
Category: Kids Toys & Games Lights
The Plasma Ball is a fascinating blend of science and spectacle. At its core, a Tesla coil sends high-voltage alternating current through noble gas inside the glass sphere, causing escaping electrons to light up the gas and create glowing arcs of electricity that reach towards your fingertips when you touch the glass. It's a genuine, hands-on demonstration of plasma — the fourth state of matter, found in every star in the universe.
The ball features two modes: always-on and sound-activated, where the plasma arcs dance in response to music or sound. It can be displayed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall, and is powered either by USB-C cable or batteries, giving plenty of flexibility for where and how it's used. It's an engaging way to bring physics and electricity to life, whether as a bedroom feature, a conversation piece, or a learning tool.
Please note: not recommended for those who suffer from epilepsy.
