جونكو: الحشرة الشمسية

My son had so much fun snapping this little bug together without any tools needed. It actually started crawling across the driveway as soon as we put it in the sunlight, which totally amazed him.

My 7-year-old put the legs on herself in about 15 minutes, and the way it starts crawling as soon as the sun hits the solar panel is genuinely magical to watch. The fact that it needs no batteries makes it a perfect lesson on renewable energy for a rainy afternoon project.

The solar panel is a neat way to show how sunlight turns into motion, and the assembly took my kid about twenty minutes with zero frustration. It's a bit fiddly to get the legs to walk smoothly on carpet, but on a flat table it works just fine.
