Deadly Science - Animal Survival - Book 6

My nephew's been asking so many questions about why animals do weird things, and this book actually explains it in a way he can understand. The experiments at the end of each chapter got him building a little habitat for his toy bugs.

This book finally got my 9-year-old asking “why” about things like camouflage and migration, which is a win. The animal survival angle makes tricky science feel like a cool nature documentary.

My 7-year-old daughter couldn't stop reading about how animals adapt to extreme temperatures, and she actually tried replicating a camouflage experiment from the book. I just wish it had a few more hands-on activity pages.
